Bobby Frost attended Red Bay High School before his parents moved after his junior year. Frost spent his senior season at Sheffield where he was a basketball star for Bulldogs. He was an all-star baseball player and played football at Sheffield. Frost signed a basketball scholarship to Itawamba Junior College in Fulton, Mississippi, but later transferred to Florence State where he played baseball as an All-ACC performer. He was named the Lions most valuable player while playing first and third base. Frost served as head basketball coach and assistant football coach at Cherokee High School before accepting the head basketball coaching position at Colbert County High School from 1962-65. His last Indians team finished 25-5. He obtained his Masters Degree from Peabody in Nashville in 1969. In 1965 he replaced Jesse Stewart at Rogers where he remained for the next eight seasons. His teams went a combined 43-33-4 during his tenure. Frost also served as the basketball coach in 1971-73. Carbon Hill was the next stop for Coach Frost. He led the Carbon Hill teams from 1974 until his retirement from the football field following the 1982 season. His overall record as a head football coach in Alabama is 100-66-5.
